Original songs inspired by everyday life on Oʻahu.
Blending Jawaiian, reggae, and island influences, these songs tell stories about the moments that stick with you—getting caught in H-1 traffic, finding the last parking spot at the beach, sharing a shave ice, or simply feeling the trade winds through the house.
Every place has its stories. These just happened to find a melody.

Haupia Telegraph is an independent musical project based in Kailua on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaii.

Released in July 2026, their music seamlessly blends Jawaiian (Hawaiian reggae), contemporary island rhythms, and traditional acoustic influences to deliver a vibrant, highly relatable local soundscape.
Their debut album, Island Firelight, features 12 tracks that capture the unique, humorous, and sometimes chaotic reality of daily life in Hawaiʻi.

Complete Tracklist & Highlights

The album ranges from playful, comedic tracks about local tropes to melodic, atmospheric island ballads:

  1. Island Firelight – The atmospheric, welcoming title track.
  2. Costco Kine Crush – A catchy tune celebrating the local ritual of shopping trips and encounters at the island bulk-stores.
  3. My H-1 Honey – A rhythmic song inspired by finding romance and passing the time during long rush-hour gridlocks on Honolulu's H-1 freeway.
  4. Chicken Stole My Plate Lunch – A playful track depicting the relatable local grievance of wild chickens snatching a traditional plate lunch.
  5. Wrong Slippahs – A lighthearted acoustic ballad about a slipper mix-up at a backyard party that unexpectedly sparks a romance.
  6. Worth the Wait – A melodic piece focusing on patience and the slower, natural pace of island living.
  7. Shoots, She Was the One – An acoustic love song about falling at first sight; its official lyric video features beautiful local landscapes and the waters around Kaʻelepulu (Kailua's pond area).
  8. Almost There – An upbeat track about anticipation and journeys.
  9. Extra Spoon – A lighthearted tune nod to sharing local treats like shave ice.
  10.  Sand in My Musubi – A highly relatable, humorous track about the inevitable struggle of eating a Spam Musubi snack on a windy beach.
  11. No Rain… No Rainbow… – An uplifting anthem about resilience, drawing a parallel between island weather and overcoming life's challenges.
  12. Trade Winds – An atmospheric ballad inspired by the cooling island winds. It was promoted through a video showcasing the resilience of a local starfruit tree after Hurricane Lowell brushed past Oʻahu.
